Terry Stringer Sold at Auction Prices

b. 1946 -

British-born New Zealand artist Terry Stringer has made a big impression on his adopted country, creating several major public commissions and a sculpture park that showcases his own work and that of contemporaries. His distinctive and distorted bronze sculptures display the way in which he views the world: a quirk of physiology means he has problems with depth perception and sees things as flat planes. This has led to artwork that appears to be Cubist inspired, and Terry Stringer's sculptures are often described as idiosyncratic. The artist himself says that he seeks to tell his story in fragments.

Terry Stringer's artwork values the ability of the viewer to see the world differently. He was rewarded with the Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit. Terry Stringer's sculptures are present in a number of private and public New Zealand collections. Find sculptures for sale to cater to any collector, from antique to ultra-modern.
