    Mario Stretti (1910-1960) SET OF GRAPHICS. Set of six graphics with different techniques and sizes. Lithography, etching, woodcut on paper, mostly signed with pencil "Mario Stretti", some also signed in print with initials "MS". Mario Stretti - Czech painter, illustrator and artist (focused on portraits and landscapes), son of Jaromír Stretti-Zamponi. Studied Academy of Art in Prague under prof. V. Nechleba and T.F.Šimon. After 1948 was politically persecuted because he refused to paint portraits of communistic government. In 1960 was awarded in Rome for his design for Olympic postal stamps. Litografie, lept, dřevoryt na papíře, většinou sign. tužkou „Mario Stretti" a některé v tisku monogramem „MS". Mario Stretti - český kreslíř a grafik, ilustrátor, malíř (portrétista a krajinář), syn Jaromíra Strettiho-Zamponiho. Vystudoval malířství na pražské akademii, portrét u prof. V. Nechleby a grafiku u prof. T. F. Šimona. Po roce 1948 politicky perzekuován, když odmítl portrétovat vládní představitele a vstoupit do KSČ. 1960 získal v Římě cenu za olympijskou známkovou sérii. Mario Stretti (1910-1960) SET VON GRAPHIKEN. Sechs graphische Blätter, verschiedene Techniken und Größen. Lithographien, Radierungen und Holzstiche auf Papier, meistens mit Bleistift sign. „Mario Stretti" im Druck monogrammiert „MS".
