A. Stremel, gerahmt, kleine Farbabplatzer im Bild, Falzmaße ca. 68 x 43 cm. Künstlerinfo: eigentlich Max Artur Ferdinand Stremel, dt. Maler und Graphiker (1859 Zittau bis 1928 Ulm), stud. ab 1877 an der Akad. München, 1878–87 mit Fritz von Uhde in Paris bei Mihály von Munkácsy, Sommeraufenthalte in Knocke sur-Mer, 1887–89 in München und Dachau ansässig, später in Eppan/Südtirol, 1896–99 in Dresden, anschließend in Hyères/Südfrankreich und in Venedig, 1907–18 in München und schließlich in Ulm tätig, Max Arthur Stremel war Mitglied der Münchner Secession, im Deutschen Künstlerbund, an dessen Ausstellungen er sich ab 1904 beteiligte und in der Berliner Secession, an deren Ausstellungen er ab 1907 teilnahm. Er blieb auch nach der Gründung der Freien Secession weiterhin in der Berliner Secession. In Ulm wurde er bald nach deren Gründung Mitglied der Künstlergilde Ulm. Artist info: actually Max Artur Ferdinand Stremel, German painter and graphic artist (1859 Zittau to 1928 Ulm), studied from 1877 at the Akad. Munich, 1878-87 with Fritz von Uhde in Paris under Mihály von Munkácsy, summer stays in Knocke sur-Mer, 1887-89 resident in Munich and Dachau, later in Eppan/South Tyrol, 1896-99 in Dresden, afterwards in Hyères/South France and in Venice, 1907-18 active in Munich and finally in Ulm, Max Arthur Stremel was a member of the Munich Secession, the Deutscher Künstlerbund, in whose exhibitions he participated from 1904, and the Berlin Secession, in whose exhibitions he took part from 1907.
