        George III Ebonised Bracket Clock. Circa 1765. A good example of a London made mid 18th Century bracket clock. It has an inverted bell top case, with a brass carrying handle, corner silk backed door frets and glass side windows. The dial has a strike silent feature within the arch, a date aperture and an engraved name plate signed by the maker, William Storr of London. Retaining its original verge escapement with bob pendulum striking the hours on a bell with a pull repeat cord, twin fusee, 5 pillar movement with an engraved backplate. Working order. Height 50 cm (19 3/4"). Width 26 cm (10.25"). Depth17 cm (6 11/16")
