        Jacqueline Stieger (b.1936) for Royal Mint, two prototype silver-gilt (Millennium) Dome medals, and a similar first strike silver medal, the 62mm silver-gilt medals never went into full production and one of the few extant examples was gifted to the British Museum Coins and Medals department, Registration number 2003,1208.3. The 62mm silver medal and one of the silver-gilt medals stamped ‘SPECIMEN', The silver version of this medal was made in a limited edition of 200, together with smaller medals of the same design, various prototype packaging Provenance - the archive of the former Design & Development Director for the New Millennium Experience Company, c.1999-2000. He was responsible for commissioning artists, medallists and product designers for Dome merchandise.

        Jacqueline Stieger (b.1936) for the Royal Mint, a unique Millennium Dome medal oversize wax relief and a group of Dome medal and Timekeeper opening sequence concept sketches, the blue wax relief used in medal production by the Royal Mint for reduction on a die-engraving pantograph, 19cm diameter, it is the only one in existence. Background – Jacqueline Stieger was selected to design the commercial medals for retail following a national competition to choose the medal designers. The winners were selected by a committee of eminent individuals from the design director at the Royal Mint, Director of the RSA, Rector of the Royal College of Art, Brian Neale RA, Leonard Mannasseh OBE, David Mellor of David Mellor Design, and Mark Jones National Museum of Scotland. Provenance - the archive of the former Design & Development Director for the New Millennium Experience Company, c.1999-2000. He was responsible for commissioning artists, medallists and product designers for Dome merchandise.
