Living primarily in Hartford, he taught at the East Hartford Art League, but he also spent much time at Rockport, where in 1958, he established the first art gallery, the Charles T. Stepule Gallery, on Bearskin Neck. Charles Stepule died November 3, 2006 in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
