Biography

Kally Stefanazzi is an Irish artist with Italian heritage. She works mainly in Oils and her contemporary coastal scenes create a mystical tension between land and sea. Her use of colour is very skilled as the continuity of pallet between land and sky is very discrete and subtle. Painting since 1992, and now painting full time, her professional life started in Design, with qualification in Interior Design from the College of Marketing & Design, with emphasis on 2dimensional and 3dimensional technical drawing. Her desire for working in 3d progressed when she completed several years training in sculpture at Ireland’s National College of Art and Design. This led on to further study when in 2008 Kally completed a B.A. in Theology & Philosophy. This inner journey undoubtedly has had an impact on here visual representations on canvas, the mystical quality in her work is very evident and it is this which sets her apart from other landscape artists, there is something being said here, and it is for the viewer to name that which can only be named internally. Their peaceful & contemplative quality brings the viewed to a place that is just beyond material reach.
