    Est: $8,000 - $10,000

Scott Stack (American; b. 1952) Study for the Queen of Baltimore Oil on canvas 2012. Provenance: the artist and Monique Meloche Gallery, Chicago. Scott Stack's (American, b. 1952) meticulously rendered paintings feature linear geometry informed by technology and ways of seeing. For example, his Night Vision series depicts a broad range of subjects such as an airplane, the site of Diana, Princess of Wales' car crash, and Chicago's Buckingham Foundation as if seeing them through night vision goggles. Similarly, paintings such as Study for the Queen of Baltimore depict the pattern of a classic test screen that are sometimes broadcasted on local television networks. Stack received a BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1976 and currently works in Oak Park, IL. His work has been represented in exhibitions at White Columns, New York; Hyde Park Art Center, Chicago; and the Drawing Center, New York, and is included in the collection of the Indianapolis Museum of Art. 20" x 60"
