Edgar Sorrells-Adewale Art for Sale and Sold Prices

A native of Philadelphia, Edgar Sorrells-Adewale, received his BS at Morgan State University in Baltimore and a MFA at Pennsylvania State University that has led him to 36 years of teaching at Cheyney State University, Pennsylvania, Howard University, Washington DC, and Santa Fe Community College. During his thirty-plus year career, he has exhibited nationally and internationally, in a number of solo and group exhibitions including: The Studio Museum in Harlem, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, School 33 Art Center, Baltimore, The Center of African-American History and Culture, Smithsonian Institute, and the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington DC. Sorrells-Adewale has traveled to West Africa, Brazil, China and Europe where he co-presented workshops at the Academies of Fine Arts in Geneva and Palermo. In February of 1999, Towson University, Towson, MD honored him with its "1989 Distinguished Black Marylanders Award" in the Arts.
