Myrtis Smith (American/Tennessee, b. 1887), "Bottleneck," watercolor/gouache on board, signed lower left and fully titled on a period label to the verso, measures 14 x 16 unframed, overall in the frame it measures 20 x 21 inches. CONDITION: Good, a few light spots, no glass, period frame. Smith worked in Memphis, Tennessee, a student of George Bellows & Robert Reid. She is listed in Davenports, Who's Who in American Art in 1937, Who Was Who in 1940 and in Who Was Who in American Art.
