Anne Smith - Born in the UK, Anne Smith arrived in Australia in 1971.

Since 1998 she has collaborated with a number of artists such as Wendy Sharpe and Garry Shead on various series of etchings. She has exhibited since 1968.

Her work apears in the University of Technology, Sydney, Trinity Grammar School, Sydney and numerous institutional and private collections in Australia, New Zealand, UK, USA and Japan.

Anne Smith worked in Materials Science in industry (as Section Leader of the Physics Laboratory) and she trained in Electron Microscopy at Sydney University, continuing to work there, using the electron microscopes in the EM Unit for applied research.

Her initial studies were Industrial Science, before studying Fine Art at Sunderland College of Art and Design in the UK.
She learned etching techniques at the 'Tin Sheds' at Sydney University, setting up and etching workshop in Sydney in 1983, then moving to the mountains in 1987 and opening Falls Gallery with her husband, potter Ian Smith.
Since 1998 Anne Smith has been collaborating with Wendy Sharpe, Garry Shead, Bernard Ollis and Alan Peascod on series of their etchings.

1983 set up Etching studio in Sydney. 1987 moved to Wentworth Falls in the Blue mountains and set up an Etching studio, 1989 opened Falls Gallery.
