Housed in matching patterned gilt frames with plaques titling and attributing them to Skvirsky.  Overall Size: 23 3/4 x 19 3/4 in.  Sight Size: 19 x 15 in.  Boris E. Skvirsky. A Russian revolutionary and diplomat, who from 1922 to 1933 served as the Soviet unofficial representative in the USA and made a significant contribution into the US diplomatic recognition of the USSR in November 1933.  #2545

      Boris E. Skvirsky (Russia/Ukraine, 1887-1941). This lot contains four framed art deco nude studies. The pieces are titled "Huntress", "Ecstasy", "Fragrance", and "Meditation". They are housed in matching patterned gilt frames with plaques titling and attributing them to Skvirsky. They all appear to be in good overall condition, with very light wear to the frames.       Album containing 23 loose art deco nude studies in silver print, many with hand-colouring, each mounted onto textured card. The front cover titled ('Studies Skvirsky') in individual bronze letters and decorated with a bronze panel depicting a female discus thrower, itself a reworking of one of the images inside. Most of the prints have pencilled descriptions of colour on the reverse apparently giving instruction for the appropriate card to be used for each ('Pale grey', 'yellow', 'green' ...). One print is signed in pencil in the image.
