ENTRANCE AT TREPORT HARBOR OF THE YACHT OF HER MAJESTY QUEEN VICTORIA OF ENGLAND, 2 SEPTEMBER 1843 - THE FIRST 'CORDIALE ENTENTE" BETWEEN FRANCE AND ENGLAND. Estampe (rousseurs) H. : 33.4 cm ; L. : 44,5 cm Inscriptions : Published by Longmans &Cos London / Percival Skelton del. et sculpt / Publié par Goupil et Vibert. Le 2 septembre 1843, la reine Victoria d'Angleterre et son époux, le prince consort Albert de Saxe-Cobourg, entraient dans le port du Tréport en Normandie et débutaient leur séjour chez le roi Louis-Philippe au château d'Eu. Cette visite symbolisa au XIXe siècle la Première Entente Cordiale entre l'Angleterre et la France. Le couple royal anglais devait séjourner à nouveau au château d'Eu en 1845. XD
