(1621-1691; nach), 6 Zeichnungen nach "Courses de testes et de bague". Feder auf Bütten. Sign. "H. Duc... di Firenze", nicht dat. (wohl um 1790). Jeweils ca. 14 x 10,3 cm. - Je 3 Bl. zusammen unter Glas gerahmt (ungeöffnet). Den sechs kleinen, sehr dekorativen Zeichnungen diente das Buch "Courses de testes et de bague faittes par le roy et par les princes et seigneurs de sa cour en l'année 1662", erschienen in Paris 1670, als Vorlage. Anläßlich der Geburt des Dauphin veranstaltete Ludwig XIV. ein großes Spektakel mit Spielen und Reitwettbewerben, auch um seine Macht vor Adel und Volk zu präsentieren. - Der Zeichner der vorliegenden Blätter hat einzelne Personen aus diesem Kontext herausgelöst und sie in schöner Umgebung wiedergegeben. Das Schriftband zur Identifizierung wie auch Details in der Kleidung wurden dabei etwas schlichter gehalten. Neben dem "Timballiers Indien" sind die übrigen fünf Dargestellten französische Herzöge.
