        Japanese Woodblock Print "Jumping Horse" woodblock print. Shinagawa Takumi is a twentieth-century Japanese engraver and draftsman, born in 1908 in Niigata prefecture and died in 2009. Shinagawa Takumi first studied jewelry at the Tokyo College of Industrial Art and then continued his education with Semmin Uno and Onchi Koshiro. He participated in group exhibitions, in 1960 he was selected for the contemporary Japanese art contest of the Tuttle company in Tokyo. in 1957, 1960, 1962 in Tokyo, International Biennial of Printmaking. He was a member of the National Academy of Painting and the Japanese Association of Engraving. His woodcuts and drawings show a constant and original search. Overall size: 19 x 15 in. Sight size: 15 x 10 1/2 in.
