      Rolinda Sharples (British, 1793-1838) Portrait of Miss Caroline Phillips pastel on paper h:23 w: 20 cm Rolinda Sharples practised as a portrait painter in Bristol, and exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1820 and 1823. She died in February 1838. The present portrait was painted in London in May 1820 (in Miss Sharples' hand on the reverse is written - "the picture is for Colonel Phillips of his sister").
