    James Sharples (1751/52-1811) or Ellen Sharples (1769-1849), attributed, family group portraits, ca. 1810 Comprising four portraits: A gentleman, likely an East India trader; his wife wearing an Indian paisley shawl; a daughter seated in an East Indies ebony side chair; another seated daughter. Pastel on paper in original gilt-carved frames. H 9-3/4 in. W 7-3/4 in. Condition: Excellent original condition. Frames with minor losses and imperfections.
