Viktor Grigorevich Sevastyanov was born on 1st of July 1923 in Odessa and studied there at Odessa Art Institute. He moved to Kiev, where he is still active today. In 1953 he became member of the Kiev association of artists and in 1963 followed a membership with the USSR Union of Artists. Sevastyanov specialized in landscape paintings and took part in many exhibitions.

The political commemoration presumably served to the patriotic education of the youth. In the center Lenin is depicted sitting on a bench, he is being surrounded by five rurally dressed children. Lenin liked to be presented with children in propagandistic intent. Condition: The painting is in a very good condition with smaller signs of age and wear. The framed dimensions measure 116 x 165 cm, the dimensions of the canvas are 98.5 x 150 cm.
