Aldo Sessa's aeuvre encompasses many genres of photography. From classical street photography, over portraits of artists, to dance studies and travel photography, the Argentinean photographer has touched upon all of them. Still lives like Abstraction I (Lot 1087) and The Kiss play an important role in his aeuvre. With unconventional combinations and sometimes modified objects Sessa creates rather unusual still lives with great metaphorical and poetic power. ›The Kiss‹ Das Œuvre des argentinischen Fotografen Aldo Sessa ist breit gefächert, es reicht von klassischer »street photography« über Künstlerporträts und Tanzstudien bis hin zur Reisefotografie. Stillleben wie Abstraction I (Lot 1087) und The Kiss spielen eine wichtige Rolle darin. Sessa kreiert allerdings keine klassischen Stillleben, vielmehr gelingen ihm durch ungewohnte Kombinationen oder Veränderungen der Objekte Bilder von einer großen metaphorischen und poetischen Kraft.
