            Factory Game Scene Engraved W. & C. Scott & Son “The Premier Quality” Sidelock Shotgun with Crystal Cocking Indicators Damascus steel barrels with a single brass bead sight on the matted flat solid rib, factory markings on the barrels, bands of engraving at the breech, and chambers measured 2 1/2 inch chambers with a single extractor. The casehardened sidelock action displays scroll engraving with game bird scenes showing three quail, a goose, and a capercallie on the left, four ducks on the right, and four herons on the underside along with a gold Maltese cross on the triggerguard. The gun features gas checked firing pins, double triggers, an automatic safety, and crystal cocking indicators. Nicely figured replacement forend and stock with multi-point checkering, engraved fittings, a gold inscription oval at the upper tang with monogram, and a checkered bare butt. Stock measurements: 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 7/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 7 oz. Class: Antique Very good, showing mostly strong Damascus patterns on the barrels, some original case colors under a layer of varnish on the action, mild handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent.

            Massive (36 1/2" x 30 1/2") photograph print of a Native American Indian chief on horseback, hand colored. Subject of the photograph is possibly Chief White Bull, a Lakota Sioux Warrior who was the nephew of Sitting Bull and played a major part in the battle with Custer at Little Big Horn. Photographer listed at W. W. Scott at lower right corner, dated 1916. W. W. Scott was a commercial and press photographer from Omaha Nebraska. Very good condition with minor wear. Framed to approximately 45" x 40". Exact print type is unknown. No dot pattern was visible under magnification. All coloring is hand done. Age unknown.

This is a Bank draft signed in London paying the bearer 70 Pounds Sterling. Scott's signature is crisp and clear, measuring 1.25" long. Document in excellent fresh condition with crisp edges. Sir Walter Scott a Scottish historical novelist, playwright, and poet, popular throughout much of the world during his time. Scott was the first English-language author to have an international career in his lifetime, with many contemporary readers in Europe, Australia, and North America. His novels and poetry are still read, and many of his works remain classics of both English-language and of Scottish literature. Famous titles include Ivanhoe, Rob Roy, The Lady of the Lake, Waverley, The Heart of Midlothian and The Bride of Lammermoor.

Original walnut forearm has engraved tip latch & iron. Replacement rnd. knob oak stock. LOP: 13 5/8" to checkered hard rubber buttplate. Bore dia: right - .776", left - .780". Choke restrictions: right - .024", left - .031". Minimum wall thickness: right - .046", left - .047". Weight: 9 lbs., 7.1 oz. Mfg. 1885.
