A SMALL CLASSICAL-STYLE PATINATED BRONZE FIGURE OF A WARRIOR OR ATHLETE

Signed on the base Schmidt-Fellino (possibly Rupert Schmidt, German, 1854-1932, working in Fellino, Italy). On a black marble base. Together with a bronzed metal figural of "The Rape of the Sabine", on a later base. 2 pieces. The first with base 14"h x 3 1/4"w x 2 3/4"d, the second with base 13 1/2"h x 7"w x 4 1/2"d The bronze figure with a broken sword hilt in his left hand, an unidentified broken object in his right, a small crack in his right ankle. The metal pair with the woman lacking three fingers on her right hand, one on her left, the man with a crack to his right ankle and holes in his feet where he was attached to an earlier base.
