Edition 36/50. Marvelous pictures from the golden age of Formula 1. The illustrated book 'The Golden Age of Formula 1' is included in this lot and has been published by teNeues in 2010. The photographs as well as the case are in very good condition. Each work is lower left signed by the depicted race car driver 'Dan Gurney', 'Jacky Ickx', 'Jack Brabham', 'John Surtees', 'Jackie Stewart' and lower right numbered and signed "36/50 R. In the context of his final examination in 1962, for which he made a series of portraits at the '1000 km Nürburgring' race, he experienced the racing atmosphere for the first time. Eighteen months later he opened his photo design studio in Frankfurt. However, the focus of his work always remained on racing. Auctionata charges the resale rights tax pursuant to Section 26 of the German Copyright Act (UrhG) towards the buyer in case of the sale of an original work of art or photography prior to 70 years having lapsed since the death of their creator. Therefore, Auctionata charges when purchasing a good - if a protection as an original work of art or photography is given - starting from a hammer price of EUR 400 an additional amount, which is calculated according to Section 26 (2) German Copyright Act (UrhG) and which does not exceed the amount of EUR 12,500.
