    Mesa de centro estilo Renascença, em patinada a ébano com aplicações em pietra-dura, como lápis-lazuli e bronze, assinada por Auguste-Hippolyte Sauvrezy (1815-1884). Tampo em mármore. Estrutura de linhas neoclássicas, com cinturas ornadas ao centro com placas em bronze representando figuras femininas reclinadas. Pilastras de intersecção com as pernas decoradas com lápis-lazuli emolduradas a dourado. Assente sobre pernas de secção piramidal, decoradas com sublinhados a dourado, rosáceas e placas de lápis-lazuli. Faltas e defeitos. Dim. aprox.: 75,5 x 78 x 50 cm.

    A FINELY CARVED RENAISSANCE REVIVAL WALNUT BUFFET CABINET, POSSIBLY FRENCH, THIRD QUARTER 19TH CENTURY, in the manner of noted furniture crafstman and designer, Auguste-Hippolyte Sauvrezy (French, 1815-1884) with an architectural back board centering an arched shell pendant flanked by scrolling foliate brackets and reticulated balustrades enclosing leafy urn shaped details partitioned by stylized obelisk form finials, above a frieze of paired shells and two lower lozenge panels framing circular dolphin carvings, within pierced side brackets of roaring mythical beasts, over four guilloche detailed drawers suspending dolphin cast bronze handles stamped "CF," surmounting four elaborately carved "grotesque" doors interspersed with turned acanthus leaf pilasters alternating humorous jester masks hung with ribbon tied fruit clusters and intertwined berried laurel branches, raised on a shaped rectangular base with ovule columnar supports and dolphin head corners, set on a conforming stepped plinth.
