In dieser Vedute wird das alltägliche Treiben in der Lagune von Venedig vom Meer aus dargestellt: Im Vordergrund kreuzt eine Gondel, während sich auf den dahinter liegenden Wasserstraßen zahlreiche Boote mit fröhlich-orangenen Segeln tummeln. Hinter der Punta della Dogana an der Einfahrt zum Canal Grande folgt die Kirche Santa Maria della Salute, hinter der sich wiederum die Kuppel mit den Glockentürmen der Kirche Santa Maria del Rosario (I Gesuati) befindet.
