Jan Saia Sold at Auction Prices

Jan Saia (Wisconsin, California, 20/21 century)
Jan Saia seems to have been "born to art". As a child growing up in Wisconsin, she spent most of her time doing just that, "expressing myself artistically came natural to me.
Living and working in California during her early adult years, Jan worked in the business world, doing what was "practical", but during that time she continued to paint and study art, taking as many college and private classes as time would allow.
As a last ditch effort at doing something practical, while hopefully fulfilling her ever growing need to create, Jan pursued a course of study in Interior Design. After two years she was even more convinced that she needed to pursue fine art.
While still undecided about what direction to take, she sat in on a lecture and demonstration by a classically trained Oil Painter and Teacher. He soon became her "Mentor". Everything clicked, and it was clear what she needed to do. Jan studied with her mentor for several years, and from then on, and for the past 20 years, she has been a full time painter, living her dream.
