    "Man on all Fours." Ink wash with red chalk. 23.5 x 18" (mat board). Onni Saari was a member of the Dublin Art Colony (Monadnock Art) in New Hampshire. In the 1950s, Saari moved to Manhattan. He met the artist Ellsworth Kelly, with whom he had a close relationship. Saari's photographs of Kelly are rare documents of Kelly's art practice in the 1950s. Saari's male homoerotic work was discovered in Saari's estate and had not then been known or shown. Provenance: Estate of Onni Saari, Edie Clark (writer and supporter of the Dublin Art Colony); private collection.
