Louis Russomanno Sold at Auction Prices

Louis Russomanno is a self-trained artist who has mastered the trompe l’ technique of painting. His technical proficiency, use of light, and his ability to capture the textural quality of the elements he paints, produces exquisite results. Russomanno’s still life’s are created in his studio and are worked on slowly, taking time in delineating the texture and shape of each object with incredible precision. His works are part of the permanent collection of the New Jersey State Museum and numerous private collections throughout the United States and Canada.

Russomanno is a master of the moment. He enables the collector to bring home paintings reminiscent of the simple pleasures in their everyday lives. The emotional connection to the simple settings and familiar places of Louis Russomanno’s world has created an overwhelming response to the work. His recent awards include “Award for Still Life in Memory of Dorothy S. and David K. Tally” from the 2003 Phillips Mill Art Exhibition in New Hope and in 2005 he received the most prestigious, Patron’s Award for Painting from Phillips Mill.

He was also among a select group of artists to be included in Phillips Mill’s 75th Anniversary Retrospective Exhibition in 2005.
