    Ginny Ruffner (1952-2025 Washington) “Mind Garden" Mixed Media Sculpture, 2001. Includes five blown art glass floats that nest on a figural leaf aluminum tray; in original Seattle Art Museum (SAM) "Century Endowment Campaign 1995-2000" Artist Box. These items were all on view at the Seattle Art Museum during the installation of "Mind Garden" and then were gifted to SAM donors following the end of the exhibit. Facsimile signature to lid of box. Floats measure 4" each, bowl is approx 15x12" and 6" tall, and box measures 7.5x17x17". Some light scratches and scuffs to aluminum leaf bowl from use during installation at art museum, overall very good condition.

    Ginny Ruffner (b.1952 Washington) “Flowering Tornado" Mixed Media Sculpture, 2003. Hanging sculpture assemblage comprised of a coiled metal "tornado" framework, three hand blown glass orbs, and 2 aluminum charms. Signed and dated on blue flower charm. Measures approx 17" long and 10" in diameter. Overall excellent condition. Ruffner, who has taught at Pilchuck since 1984, has had 88 solo shows, several hundred group shows, and her work is in 55 permanent museum and public collections around the world. Seattle public art installations include a 30-foot tall kinetic water feature downtown and a permanent installation in the Seattle Art Museum’s Olympic Sculpture Park.

Some minor scattered surface marks. Overall excellent condition. These sculptures were given to major donors of the Seattle Art Museum's Centennial Endowment Campaign, 1995-2000. Donors of $25,000 or more received a sculpture from the Mind Garden installation at the end of the exhibition in 2001.
