Glen Rudderow Sold at Auction Prices

Glenn Rudderow doesn’t remember what triggered his desire to paint, but he does recall, at 12 years old, having the need to do so.

“I bought red, yellow, blue and white paint and set up a still life in my bedroom,” he said.

And that was it. He was hooked.

Rudderow, originally from Cedarville in Lawrence Township, grew up surrounded by “the marshes,” and today, that’s what he enjoys painting the most: landscapes, particularly ones in the Cumberland County Bayshore area. He studied art with the legendary Pat Witt at the Barn Studio of Art and eventually continued his education at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art in Philadelphia where he taught for several years.

While attending classes at PAFA, he spent “many days painting outside” honing his passion for sceneries.

So when WheatonArts came calling, asking if he’d like to have a gallery show there, he was happy to do it.
