    This Southwest silk screen print to paper is after Jose D. Roybal's illustration. Roybal (1922-1978) was a Native American artist from New Mexico. His Tewa name was "Oquwa" which means "Rain God." He produced art from the 1930s onward, with some of his most noted work produced from 1955 to 1970. He was particulare noted for his renditions of Tewa clowns known as Koshares. He was an important Pueblo artist and won natuional awards.
