      Mountain Landscape

gouache on paper signed lower right Passepartout cutout unopened: 18,1 x 25,9 in framed Her early work is influenced by Egon Schiele, whom she knew personally. In her work she leaned on her expressionist tendencies and those of the New Objectivity movement developing her own pictorial language in the following decades. The main motives of her work included human nature and its flaws as well as numerous depictions of nature, fairytales and myths. Whether she would focus on motives such as waterfalls, the landscape of Semmering or the past and present of castles in the Waldviertel region, would vary according to the different phases of her life. In this way the artist worked on juxtaposing the visible, the past and the supernatural. Her work has been awarded multiple times. Exhibition in the Leopold Museum, Vienna: 29.2.2008 – 27.4.2008 “Tagblattarchiv” (“Personenmappe”): The artist is represented at the Austrian Belvedere with over 60 works.
