Jasper Rose UCSC (British 1930-2019) Born in 1930, Rose received his B.A. and his M.A. from King’s College, Cambridge, before moving to the United States, with his young family, in 1963. In 1965, Rose became a founding member of the University of California, Santa Cruz, though the family would often return during the summer months to their home in Cambridge.
