It was possibly also in Bulgaria that was shot the present photograph. Today, Rössler’s photographs from that period are considered part of his classics. Condition: The work is in good condition, showing minor crease marks within the depiction and tiny blemishes to the lower margin. The image measures 60 x 60.5 cm, while the sheet dimensions are 64 x 64.5 cm. Günter Rössler (1926-2012) Günter Rössler began his artistic training as a photo lab technician in 1946. From 1947 until 1951, he studied photography at the Academy in Leipzig. He worked as a fashion photographer on a national and international level since 1951. Rössler is considered one of the founders of the ‚action photography’. Since 1972, the artist focused on nude photography. In 1979, he realized the first nude plein-air of the GDR in Höfgen. In 1981, he became a member of the Verband Bildender Künstler der DDR. He was a co-founder of the model agency VOILÀ!. In 1996, he became a member of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Photographie in Cologne and the Bund Bildender Künstler in Leipzig.
