Had a quick, online discussion with Thom about this painting and he provided the following: "This painting is the Andersen Farm next to Becks Mill south of Salem, IN. Done standing in Mill creek. Andersens were the owners of Becks Mill before it was restored by Bill Cook."

He has been painting since his youth while attending the Flint Institute of Art, and paints today all across the country but loves Indiana and the West. Since moving to southern Indiana in 1977 he spends his time hiking and boating looking for scenes to paint. He is a member of the following organizations: Oil Painters of America (signature member since 2004), Small Painting Society of Brown County (Founding member), American Impressionist Society, Indiana Plein Air Painters, Hoosier Salon, and Indiana Artist Club. This painting of Ogle Lake in Brown County State Park is signed by the artist.
