Later (but not recent) brown leather and marbled board. Corners of covers bumped and worn, with resultant creasing to corners of leaves and plates' backings. Mild scuff marks here and there on covers. Foxing to mounted plates' backings, sometimes affecting margins, not visible in images. Previous owner's small pencil number at upper corner of each plate's backing and text leaf. Vol 1: Two light pencil erasures, creasing, and marginal dampstain to half title, stray mark to verso of plate [24]. Vol 2: Ink ownership at upper corner of half title, vertical creasing to 1st text leaf. Consists of 120 mounted plates from heliogravures, illustrating works in the Kaiser's art gallery in Wien (mostly paintings).
