      standing nude woman sgn. u.r. William Riseman, pencil on paper, 24.5 by 14 in. (sight); matted, framed under glass, 31 by 20 in. Along with a photograph of Riseman. From the collection of Carol Monica (1934-2018), proprietress of the iconic store Games People Play which she opened in 1974 in Harvard Sq., Cambridge, MA. Riseman was a highly acclaimed architect and theater designer. His 1930’s painted mural in the Lynn post office, “The History of America” has been declared a national historic monument.

      WILLIAM RISEMAN AND ALEXANDER LERCARI Circa 1935 Pair of wonderful Cape Cod-themed murals. In the manner of Rockwell Kent. Both signed Riseman & Lercari Decorators. The firm of Riseman & Lercari was active in the Boston area in the 1930s and 1940s and created many murals for theatres, cinemas and other public buildings. It is believed these murals were installed at the Hyannis Theater on the west end of Main Street. The movie theater was only open in the summer months. Oils on canvas, approx. 10''0" x 18''0". Unframed.
