      Mieczyslaw Reyzner, Kirchgängerin Bildnis einer alten Bauersfrau in schwarzer Festtagstracht, mit Rosenkranz und Gesangsbuch, im lichten Kircheninterieur, bereits 1892 befasste sich der Künstler mit dem Sujet der lebensechten Darstellung älterer, meist tief religiöser Frauen, diese Bilder brachten ihm großen Erfolg und sollten zu seinem begehrten Markenzeichen werden, gering pastose Malerei, Öl auf Leinwand, rechts unten undeutlich signiert "... Reyzner" und datiert "1902", rückseitig auf der Leinwand unleserliche Annotationen, stärkere Craquelure und Knitterspuren in der Leinwand, Retuschen, restaurierungsbedürftig, gerahmt, Falzmaße ca. 108 x 71 cm. Künstlerinfo: eigentlich Mieczysław Reyzner, auch irrtümlich Mieczylaw, österreichisch-ungarischer-polnischer Maler und Illustrator (1861 Lemberg bis 1941 Lemberg), studierte ab 1880 an der Akademie Wien, 1884–86 Studium an der Akademie München, 1888–96 Studienaufenthalt in Paris und Aufenthalte in der Bretagne, zunächst Studium an der École des Beaux-Arts, betrieb in Paris ein eigenes Atelier am Jardin du Luxembourg und beschickte die Salons der Société du Salon d’Automne und der Société des Artistes Français, ab 1897 freischaffend in Lemberg [heute: Lwiw, ukrainisch: Львів], beschickte Kunstausstellungen in Krakau, München, Berlin, Lemberg, Warschau und Wien, unternahm Studienreisen nach Dänemark und in die Niederlande, Quelle: Thieme-Becker, Saur "Bio-Bibliographisches Künstlerlexikon", Matrikel der Münchner Akademie, Boetticher, Bénézit und polnische Wikipedia. The frame has major losses. The size of the painting is 69.5 x 49 cm, the framed dimensions are 82 x 61.5 cm. Mieczyslaw Reyzner (1861-1941) Mieczyslaw Reyzner was born in 1861 in Lviv, in today's Ukraine. In 1880, he moved to Vienna and studied panting at the Academy of Fine Arts. He continued his studies in Munich and Paris. Since 1897 he was based in Lviv. His oeuvre includes paintings with genre scenes, religious subjects, landscapes, portraits and still lifes.
