Fan ink color on paper signed by Ren Xiong and with artist's seal. 任熊紙本扇面題識：渭長熊钤印：渭長（朱）簡介：任熊（1823年7月19日－1857年11月23日）清代晚期著名畫家，"海派"藝術的代表人物之一。字謂長，一字湘浦，號不舍，浙江蕭山人。幼時家貧，跟塾師學畫人像，後寓居蘇州、上海以賣畫爲生。曾流浪到甯波，得遇名師姚燮，在其家"大梅山館"學畫，深得宋人筆法。任熊是繪畫全才，人物、花卉、山水、翎毛、蟲魚、走獸，無一不精。畫法宗陳洪绶，與弟任薰，兒子任預、侄任頤合稱"海上四任"，又與朱熊、張熊合稱"滬上三熊"。
