    Property from the Estate of the Silent Film Actress Louise Brooks Man Ray  1890 - 1976    Peinture naturelle  signed Man Ray and dated 58 (lower right); dedicated for Louise Brooks a souvenir of Man Ray Paris 1959 (on the backing board)  acrylic on metal plate, in artist's frame  5 ⅛ by 7 ⅛ in.  13 by 18.1 cm.   Executed in 1958.   Andrew Strauss and Timothy Baum of the Man Ray Expertise Committee have confirmed the authenticity of this work under reference 00468-P-2025 and that it will be included in the Catalogue of Paintings of Man Ray, currently in preparation.
