A painter of landscapes, Saba Rashid has completed her masters in Painting in 2005 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. She has been teaching and actively participating in exhibitions since last Twelve years. She has been a regular participant of exhibitions held at national level all over Pakistan and abroad. She is a sophisticated and delicate practitioner. Her work is a true interpretation of nature.

She is influenced by Khalid Iqbal, Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi ,Zulqarnain Haider and Iftikhar Ali Khan. Her compositions do not follow the traditional division of sky and earth. Her landscapes are engulfed with the atmosphere. The element of nature appears directly in her paintings and she wants to be as close to nature as possible. Landscape is her main theme. Her interest in depicting the light and atmosphere is reflected in her canvases, by creating a rich texture through the application of paint. Her sensitive handling of the medium makes the landscape something more than just representations. A poetic observer of the changing seasons and light, her paintings are gentle in their visual representation.

Colour is her prime fascination. She uses colour from her surroundings. There is a freshness and spontaneity in her work. She takes references from nature. Her primary concerns are light and atmosphere. Background in her painting is very important. The landscape has taken the form of her personal expression. She tries to create the feeling of depth and tranquility through colours.
