Qandeel lives and works in New York creating passionate and energetic large scale abstract paintings which he has exhibited across the world in exhibitions in Monte Carlo, New York and Jeddah. His colourful, bold and striking displays break from the traditional norms of the Arab world and signify the vastly changing cultural landscape. In 2012 one of his works was selected by the Saudi Arabian Mission to the UN to exhibit as a solo artist at the Waldorf Astoria in New York in celebration of Saudi Arabia's National Day and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia gifted a work by Qandeel to the US Ambassador to the UN.

Qandeel’s wildness is highly appreciated, considering the latest 6-digit hammer prices for two paintings at Sotheby’s auctions.
