Purser Sketches by Capt. R. Elliot, R. N. Engraved by W. Le Petit The Pass of Makundra Fisher, So &ampC London, 1833". Very nice depiction of an Indian landscape with mighty trees and crumbling houses along the way. William Le Petit was a British copper and steel engraver. He was active from about 1829 - 1857. Missolonghi is a port on the Gulf of Patrai in west central Greece. It was a Greek stronghold during the Greek War of Independence in the 1820s and Byron died there of a fever in 1824
