    A. Pun Woo, Chinese, late 19th century. Oil on canvas Ship painting, depicts with four masted Iron ship "Drumeltan" in heavy seas. Pun Woo was known to have worked in Hong Kong from 1880-1889, this ship was built by Russel & Co. Greenock, Scotland in 1883, which dates the painting from 1883-1889. Signed lower right "A. Pun Woo" and titled lower center. Some surface grunge, areas of craquelure, tiny puncture upper left. Image 23 x 17 1/2", in a painted frame with some wear 27 x 21 1/4" overall. ESTIMATE $600-800

    Pun Woo (Chinese, 19th Century) The Dunbarton at Sea signed lower right "Pun Woo" and "Durmburton" oil on canvas 28 x 18cm Pun Woo lived in Hong Kong between 1880 and 1889. He painted English ships and often got the names slightly wrong, viz "Durmburton".
