    Est: $2,000 -

Burt Proctor: "In the Suburbs " Celebrated California Artist. (1901-1980) Lovely, colorful and cheerful work by beloved California artist, Burt Proctor. This is a most unusual painting by him as he is best known for his Western landscapes, horses and Native American subjects. Proctor here has captured a wonderful scene of a woman, in her well-worn straw hat, in the soft light of late Spring, potting flowers on her bench, homes disappearing in the distance behind. Oil on Masonite measures 18 x 36". Elaborately framed to 27 x 45" in antiqued gilt wood. A wonderful piece, signed by the artist at lower left. Estimated Value $2,000-UP.
