Manuel Prior is a self-taught master, who began in the trade with fourteen years and was able to expand his knowledge thanks to his travels in France, Germany and Austria, in 1954. When he settled in Madrid, he attended the drawing workshops of the Círculo de Bellas Artes, and in 1963 he became a member of the well-known "Grupo Castilla 63" together with Onésimo Ancciones, Elena Así, Julio Plaza, etc. His work has been shown in numerous exhibitions (Madrid, Seville, Santander, Mexico, Lisbon, New York, Copenhagen, etc.), and is preserved in important private collections and in various institutions (Provincial Museum of Ciudad Real, Museum of Fine Arts of San Eloy, Museum of Ayllon, Municipal Museum of Puertollano, etc.).

    Manuel Prior, 3 Frauenakte ( tres desnudos femeninos ), Ölgemälde gerahmt Manuel Prior, 1933 Puertollano, spanischer Maler, im Alter von 20 Jahren ließ er sich in Madrid nieder, wo er die Zeichenworkshops des Círculo de Bellas Artes besuchte und unter anderem Kontakte zu Benjamín Palencia, Vázquez Díaz, Pedro Bueno, Martínez Novillo, Agustín Redondela, Pepe Ortega knüpfte. 1963 trat er der Castilla 63 Group bei, seine Arbeiten wurden in zahlreichen Galerien und Nationalmuseen gezeigt, darunter: Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Navarra, Museum Santa Cruz de Toledo und war in den Jahren 85-88 auf der ARCO vertreten, hier: 3 Frauenakte, Öl/Lw., 65 x 55 cm, l. u. sign. u. dat. (19)79, in Originalrahmung
