    EDITH BALLINGER PRICE (1897-1997) American author and illustrator of children's books who also started the Brownie division of the American Girl Scouts program. A charming item, being an original watercolor drawing of a sailing ship executed on a blue sheet measuring 5 1/4" square. Besides this Price pens two stanzas from a poem: "She's left the dirty squall behind, and we set her kites in the dawn, for she's sniffed the South in the rising day, & she leaps to get her gone..." and more. Mounted neatly to another sheet and ideal for display.
