Karel Postl "Die Hauptstadt Prag sammt dem königlichen Schlosse von der Alt-Stadt aus anzusehen". Um 1800.

Karel Postl 1769 vermutlich Bechin – 1818 Prag Umrissradierung, koloriert, auf "Van Gelder Zonen"-Bütten. Unterhalb der Darstellung typografisch bezeichnet "Postl fecit." und "Wien bey Artaria Comp." sowie ausführlich deutsch und französisch betitelt. Im Passepartout hinter Glas gerahmt. Karel Postl 1769 vermutlich Bechin – 1818 Prag Böhmischer Veduten- und Landschaftsmaler. Sohn eines gräflichen Beamten. Wohl Studium an der Wiener Akademie. 1806 Ernennung zum Professors für Landschaftszeichnung an der neu eingerichteten Schule für Landschaftsmalerei der Prager Akademie, dort Lehre bis zu seinem Tod. Im Jahr 1806 ebenfalls Ernennung zum Theatermaler des Ständetheaters.
