No evidence of restoration under UV light. The height, including the lid, is about 20 cm, and the dimensions of the box are 13 x 9 cm. Rudolf Podany (1876-1963) Born in Vienna, the sculptor and ceramist Rudolf Podany was a student of Johannes Benk. He then studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and worked for the porcelain factory Schauer. Starting from 1920, he worked for the ceramics manufactory Keramos in Vienna. Keramos The ‘Wiener Kunstkeramik- und Porzellanmanufaktur’ was founded in 1920 by potters and artists, and later financed by the state, enlarged and converted into a corporation. In 1924 followed the merger with Keramos. In 1932 was acquired a large number of models from Eduard Klablena and the Wiener Werkstätte. Keramos was specialized in the production of durable and luxury goods, particularly pottery and majolica. The pieces are designed in the modern or traditional Viennese style and usually show matt glazes, often in coral or oxblood red and Indian and cobalt blue, as well as under and art glaze. An Austrian painted and glazed ceramic lamp portraying a theme of the Three Graces, designed by Austrian designer Rudolph Podany. High gloss glaze across the piece with the exception of the women's skin which is a matte glaze. Signed Podany impressed in the base, additional impressed marking Depose' for the French market, hand painted marking under the base 'Made In Austria' along with pink ceramic slip medallion 'Vienna Faience Schauer'. The ceramic portion measures 23.5 x 12 inches approximately. The overall lamp size is 32.5 inches high.
