Emile Pinedo (1840-1916) école Française Cachet en bronze doré. L'Empereur Napoléon Ier en buste, signé Pinedo, avec armoiries. Ht : 8,5cm. TBE XIXe siècle Biographie : Emile Pinedo est né à Paris en 1840. C’est un sculpteur et médaillleur français. Il a dirigé un une entreprise de bronzes d’art et d’ameublement dont la direction était assurée par son père vers 1850. Il reprend en 1865 la direction de l’entreprise familiale en 1865. La société change alors de nom et devient « Emile Pinedo fils ». Elle était située dans le quartier du Marais et poursuivra son activité jusque dans les années 1830. Emile Pinedo meurt en 1916 à Paris.

From Duck & Dolphin antiques in Key West, Florida. Paul Cox (1941-2019) was the driving force behind Duck & Dolphin Antiques, started his treasured collection in Manhattan in 1963. He would eventually move his shop several times through New Jersey, the new Hope Pennsylvania area, and finally Key West Florida. He saw many styles and movements come and go. There was not one he was not an enthusiast of. Growing up in the era of “populux,” he got his start as a dealer in the art nouveau revival of the 1960s under the tutelage of the great Lillian Nassau. He went on to dealing in the highest quality of French period antiques.

Emile Pinedo 1840 Paris – 1916 ebenda Bronze, gegossen, rotbraun patiniert. Am re. Rand der Plinthe signiert "Pinedo" und mit einem Pariser Garantiestempel versehen. Vorderseite mit eingeschriebenem Titel und bezeichnet "Exp.on. des Beaux-Arts". Unterseits am Rand o.re. mit dem Stempel "R". Emile Pinedo 1840 Paris – 1916 ebenda Französischer Bildhauer und Medailleur. Er arbeitete auch als Gießer, ein Beruf, in dem er 1865 die Nachfolge seines Vaters antrat. Sein Debüt als Bildhauer gab er auf dem Salon von 1870. In seiner Praxis zeigte er eine Vorliebe für weibliche und orientalische Figuren, arbeitete hauptsächlich in Bronze und schuf Skulpturen von sehr hoher Qualität.
