    The Judgement of Midas, engraving after a painting of Pieter Paul Rubens, engraved and published by Frans Pilsen (Gent 1700 - Antwerp 1784) ca 1734-1777. Ref: Schneevoogt 1873 / Catalogue des estampes gravées d'après P.P.Rubens (122.27). In good condition. Very good dark early impression, with the ruling lines of the text just visible. Some very tiny tears in the margins restored, not visible in front. Printed on laid paper just on the margins, image complete.

    Relation de l'inauguration solemnelle de sa sacrée majesté Marie Thérèse [...] comme comtesse de Flandres, célébrée à Gand, ville capitale de la province, le XXVII. avril 1744. Ghent Widow P. de Goesin 1744 Folio: front.-43 pp.; 2 pl. (sev. soiling and staining, some dam., marg. wormholes, 2nd engr. cut short and with some tears). Contemp. calf, gilt arms on covers, gilt spine with 6 raised bands (worn, soiling, def.). First edition of this work on Maria Theresa's inauguration as countess of Flanders at Ghent. Ill. with an engr. front. depicting Maria Theresa by Frans Pilsen after the painting of Philips Charles Marissal and a very large folding plate by Pilsen, based on the architectural works by the Ghent architect David 't Kindt, showing a general view of the ceremony conducted on an elaborate stage built at the Vrijdagmarkt.
